..er tilbake! Mine barndomshelter!

An old friend of mine took me up to Tremblant to go through some courses on the racetrack. It was somewhat terrifying. Afterwards, we went to his friend's parent's home for dinner and I caught this moment with one of the dinner guest:

Nadia and I went out to lie down in the park today. We were standing outside of my apartment when I saw lightning in the distance... I went back up to unplug my laptop.
One minute later probably the worst storm I've ever seen in Norway hit us! It reminded me of tropical typhoons. My room is on the top floor and has a panorama view and I was blinded by lightning and I thought all my windows would burst. Quite frightening! My father called me from many many miles away and canceled our dinner date because he heard the coming storm. He would have had to come by boat to see me; I'm happy he didn't! The storm was pounding my windows when he called. The torrential downpour was unbelievable. The streets were covered in debris afterwards. |

[Jul. 5th, 2008|10:54 am] |
Last night was the worst night we've had since Ethan was born. He is going through a little growth spurt, so he wanted to eat non-stop almost all night. I put him down close to 10 (he had been asleep for a bit before that already), and he was up at 1, 3, 4, 5-ish, and another time after that. Liam woke up at the 5:00 time, so Will had to deal with that. He eventually had to let Liam cry it out. That has seemed to work for Liam lately. If you stay in his room with him, he just continues to cry or tries to get you to do things so he can stay awake. Talk about frustrating.
My mind is in such a fog, this day is going by very fast. I'm currently working on getting our photos off our computer. I'm slowly adding them to Wal-Mart's website so we can order prints, and I'm also e-mailing them to our g-mail account. We set it up specifically for storing pictures. I'm done putting all of Liam's pictures on Wal-Mart's website, but I'm only to the 3-6 Month folder in the g-mail account. It's going kind of slow... I also have our wedding and honeymoon pictures and pictures from the trips we've taken (separately and together).
I am also going to order some yarn today for Liam's wool diaper cover and for a purse that I want to make for myself (or I might end up giving it away as a gift, I'm not sure yet). I should also read some more for the leadership book club I'm in... and laundry... blah. This will surely break my mind out of the fog. |

grocible said my sunglasses were crazy. I think they're cool.
I was saying that I used to get really normal sunglasses... nothing too crazy, but this year, I've bought two pairs I'd usually not go for. I don't know if it's because all that's being made are big, flamboyant sunglasses, or if my tastes are changing or both... But I like my big, crazy sunglasses.
When Luke puts them on, he looks like Sir Elton.
You can't tell in this picture, but I had on really cool lip gloss, too.
Oh yeah, and if you want to see the other photos I uploaded, just click on over to my Flickr... I'll stop clogging up your flist now. |

| Itty Bitty Kitty in the Shade |
[Jul. 4th, 2008|11:58 pm] |
This is Itty Bitty Kitty. He's hanging out in the shade on our patio wall. He's one of the strays that hangs around. I think if we didn't have a full house already, we might invite him to live with us.
He's always at our window, ready to turn on the cute and say hi. He has a scratchy little meow that is just adorable. I tried telling Scott he'd fit in perfectly with all our other cats with strange meows, but he's not buying it. Thank goodness one of us is reasonable.

Anyone want a cute little grey tabby with a funny meow?
